Co-owner liscence?

Hello,

I have recently been made a partner of a website which utilizes vBulletin. The co-owner has provided me with his customer# but without his email and password I am unable to participate in the community here and ask questions. I can ask him for his information and I'm sure he will oblidge, but I would prefer not to resort to this. How much would it cost me to purchase rights to be a validated community member here with proof of purchase for our version?

In the vB members area, you can set your email address to be allowed priority support/vB.org member as well.

Click here: http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php and log in. Once logged in, put your email address in one of the boxes in "Contact Email Addresses"

Make sure the "Site Permissions" that you want are checked. Then click save.

Thank you, I was told by email that I could not do this without the original purchaser's private info. I'll do this now.

Well, you need the customer number + password, but thats it.

Ohhh, that is my problem. I have been given the customer number but I do not wish to ask my partner to reveal his password to me, if this is the only way I suppose it must be done.
Won't this action make it so that only I can use this forum and not my partner though?

Actually, what i read is something you can't do in business... if you can't discuss freely with your partner, it is NOT a partner... deal with it, or quit that business and start something on your own...

That is not the case, nor is it a professional way to approach a business partner. I know that he will give me his info if I ask him to, but I would like to set up my own account to use on this forum without having to use (or replace) his. Asking a person whether it's a business partner, friend, or family member to divulge private information such as a password is not good ettiquite. This is why I asked how much it would cost me for a joint account just to access these boards for discussions with other members.

there is no joint-accounts... the only way you can do it is by asking your partner to put your email in his settings on vbulletin.com, here: http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php ... so you will have the same level of access on this and that site...

By opting-in to the priority support service, you will be able to access customer-only information and resources on a number of vBulletin forums for as long as your vBulletin customer account contains at least one active vBulletin license. To utilize this service, you must first check the box next to the forums that you wish to participate in using the form below. You can then register on the external forums using the same email address assigned to your customer account.

You can also register 3 additional email addresses of people who will receive the same benefits. Additional contacts should be individuals entrusted to work on your vBulletin license who have granted explicit permission for their email address to be linked to your customer account.
