3.7.0. Beta 2 / ibProarcade

Has anyone got ibProArcade and 3.7.0. Beta 2 running together yet? Curious as the arcade is the one thing that members complain the most when its not available.

I get an error whenever you view or post a thread. The thread will still post but (obviously) you cannot view it.

Database error in vBulletin 3.7.0 Beta 2:

EDIT:

I fixed this! In phpMyAdmin i changed the champion field's collation from latin1_swedish_ci to atin1_general_ci.

how exactly do you change the collation ? Please describe it, as some more users have such problems (which is not related to vBulletin 3.7.x) - thanks


I think there should be no problems at all in vB 3.7.x - anyone tried a fresh install on it ?

To change the collation execute this SQL query:

ALTER TABLE `tournaments` CHANGE `champion` `champion` TEXT CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_general_ci NOT NULL

Execute it from within vBulletin to make sure it goes correctly

I have just noticed that no highscores save either!? It just says: Could not retrieve scores.

Any ideas on this?

EDIT: I just added the whole vba cmps thing (i had it installed) so i modded my file. Now it works but i still get the error. Note: I am playing snake. I have not tested other games YET.

I've installed 3.7 beta 2 (upgrade from 3.6.8), updated a custom style (modified 9 templates) and then installed the arcade. There is no problems at all that I've come across. Scores are still saving, etc.

I only done all this on a test installation of vbulletin - just checking compatibility issues.

I have 3 sites running live with 3.7.0. Beta 2 and ibProarcade and everything is working fine. The only compatibility problem I have found is with vbcredits so if you are using it for points and tied into the arcade you cannot use the customize profile feature in 3.7.0 Beta 2. These sites already had ibProarcade installed, so no fresh installs though.

Change either credits bitfield or the vBulletin default one to a different value to remove the collision. Or, you can disable the arcade intergration and the games can still be played fine.

Yeah I have a fresh install of it for my kids Christmas Present but it isn't done yet and so far none or I should say that most of the hacks don't work but I will try and see if this one does I was planning on putting something in there for them anyways.
