Use vbulletin login for other parts of web site

Hi

Can I use the vbulletin login for other parts of my web site as well? (i.e. keep the username of the user and then use this for storing other information). An example: the user logs into vbulletin, they then navigate to a non vbulletin part of my web site and make some choices in radio buttons which I then store in a database and bring out next time they log in.

Any ideas on how to do it?
