How to Figure Out Which Template Does What?
Hi,
I would very much appreciate it if someone could point me to a link or guide, or help me out with this. I am a seasoned CSS, HTML, PHP, etc. and web expert. However, I am having trouble figuring out which template controls what in vBulletin. Is there anywhere I can go that tells me, for example, if I want to edit the login panel, use "xyz" template and so on?? There should be something like this available yet all the template and design guides I see posted around are very beginner material and there is no information on this. Am I supposed to just flip through 50 different templates and play around until I find it?? I know where to enter the main CSS, but how do I find the templates where the styles are applied? It's not very logical at all. I would really appreciate some help. I can make some killer styles if only I could get around this major obstacle of not knowing where anything is. |

If you go to vbulletin options > general settings, you can turn on the template names in the source code. That really helps out at first to see what template is responsible for what code.

^I did that, okay. I'm not sure if doing that is what helped me, but within an hour, I found where everything is. Thank you for your help either way. When I'm done making my style, I'll post it here for you guys.
