wrong date screwed up DB?

Hello and thanks in advance for your help.
One of my admins realized that the system date is incorrect and wanted to adjust it. He made a mistake and set it to December 2008 instead of December 2007. 30 seconds later he realized he made a mistake and he corrected the issue. But still a lot of things are not functioning correctly. For example "Whats going on" shows people accessing site in the future, statistic data is frozen and no new data beyond the day the date was changed, search is requesting some people to wait 31435241 seconds: "This forum requires that you wait 15 seconds between searches. Please try again in 31435241 seconds". Anyway the wrong date caused a lot of issue. I am guessing I have future dates in the database which is causing all these problems. How can I fix this? Try go to "update counter" in your admincp,
update anything that has relation to your forum such as Rebuild Thread Information, Rebuild Forum Information, Rebuild Search Index, Rebuild Post Cache, Rebuild Statistics, etc..

To help other people that might run into the same issue, check your crons, they are all out of date.
