Hide user profile field

Hello,

I have created two additional profile fields.
Both can be switched on or off by the user in the user's options.

Now I want to only allow users of a certain usergroup to change both of the fields.
For regular users, one of the fields should be hidden.

Where do I change the permissions?
I guess I have to make the field I want to hide a private field.
But where do I change the permissions to see this field?

Okay, so I made the field I want to hide a private one.

"Can View Private Custom Fields" is set to "yes" for the special usergroup and "no" for the registered usergroup.

When I log in with a test account (a registered user), the private profile field still shows.
