Create a new folder in the /cpstyles/ directory and then use the default styles/folders that are already there as a template to follow. Although, unless you know CSS & HTML it won't be worth your while, after all it will only be seen by a few people.

well the path isnt the same for everyone.

make the new folder in the cpstyles dir

go to the public_html if the link to your site is not /forums..../boards or anything /.....look for the public_html/cpstyles and make a new folder in there
