Add a 'Save' Button in ModCP
Currently when my mods are in their modcp and click view user profile, they can make all their edits but there is no save button at the bottom?
Is there something in the modcp/user.php file I need to edit to let my mods have a save button in mod cp? Thanks |

Only administrators have the power to edit user profiles. Moderators only get the ability to view the user data. Promote your moderators to Administrators with User management privileges if you want them to be able to edit users.

This is just a bad solution for something that should be an option. I don't want my moderators to be in the administrator group - I want them to be in the moderator group.

Moderators moderate--hence 99% of their access has to do with the forum areas. When you start getting into changing users profiles and settings, you are into Administration territory.
You have to decide if you want moderators or administrators. There IS a difference for a reason. |

Moderate, by definition, is simply between two extremes ... an administrator is one extreme - a user is the other. Moderating USERS is different than moderating FORUMS. They should have the ability to moderate USERS without having to ADMINISTRATE the users -- for security and organization reasons - allowing the option for a moderator to moderate a user would be beneficial. Trying to make an excuse on semantics makes no sense when we're on a website dealing with hacking the "official" way.
