I thought vBulletin and mysql could handle lots of connections and yet I'm getting this error:
mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Too many connections /home/kingsta/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 271 my site is not that big....only 1200 members and the max I've ever had online was 55 so hardly the stats that should warrant a meltdown. can anyone shed some light please |

This has to do with your server/ hosting setup, not vb itself...
![]() If you are on shared hosting, contact your provider. If this is a vps or dedicated then you need to adjust your configuration. |

That's a mysql error, not vbulletin, and mysql can handle lots of connections, but the limit is a setting in it's config file, you have passed the limit set on yours, so you need to speak to whoever controls it.
