I've searched for this and can't seem to find an answer...

Is it possible to have member posted images (not attachments) within threads to be shown as a link rather than the actual image to unregistered users?

I'm pretty sure there is a mod for it here, did you search Google or here?

I've searched Google, here, vb.com.... There has to be something out there. I just cannot find it...

I know there is some mod for it, I've seen a lot of forums that have had that mod, or option, enabled, so there has to be something.

Could you possibly post a link of a board which uses that feature? Maybe I can find something in their code which will clue me into what hack they are using.

So far the only ones I'm seeing with this feature are IPB sites.

ETA: I guess I should state I'm not really wanting to go to the extreme of using one of the "Register to view entire post." hacks.

If you cant find what you looking for:

I would disable that usergroup--> to view threads. They can read the forums layout forum listing but they cant go inside the thread w/o registering.

just a hint..

Right now we don't want to limit guest viewing of the other content, but it is certainly an option.

I have found an existing hack which looks like it could work with some tweaking...
