Modyfing [List] BBCode

I am looking for a modification to the list bbcode, or how I would create my own custom list bbcode. I am using the blog feature for articles and I use the list code a lot in the articles, I would like to have each list item seperated with a <br /> so the article looks nicer and is easier to read. I have asked many times but no one seems to know how to do this. Right now there is no space between list items they all run togther.

I'm sure this is very basic, if I knew what php file the list bbcode was in, im sure it would be a tiny modification to place an extra <br/> between list items.

I tried to make my own but I think I need to make something like that with code and not with the bbcode manager, seems to complex to make there. I needs dynamic code I would guess.
