This is my very 1st mod so pls be gentle.
Why?
I was looking for this kind of mod for my own forum. My moderators and I where really getting sick of editting posts of users that always included the quote of the first post (and some of them are really huge). I made a little modicfication to the forum that disabled the quoting of the first post in thread.
Only drawback the modification had was that it is was on "all" forums and not only selected ones.
What does this hack do different?
I made a product that disables the Quoting/Multi Quoting of the first post. This can be set on/off per forum.
vBulletin version supported?
Because of the nature of the mod it's only for vb3.6.0 and up. As of this version the hooks used are all implemented.

Version history:
v1.0.0 - First public release
v1.1.0 - Included postbit_legacy support
Totally forgot about the postbit_legacy template. It's now included in the new version.
v2.0.0 - I completely redid the code.
v2.1.0 - Changed the way the plugin checks for the first post. This change makes it more compatible with Atakan KOC's Chiefpost mod

v1.0.0 - Firts public release. Release went final after testing.
v1.1.0 - Added support for postbit_legacy. I totally forgot that one because I only use normal and custom postbits.
v2.0.0 - Complete recoded of the mod. After some testing for my second mod I found out that the mod wasn't doening a great job in removing the quote button (strange layout bugs in IE and Opera).
Therefor I completely recoded the mod. Result: 2 plugins and 2 templates less and fully functional in IE6, IE7, FF 1.5, FF 2, Opera 9 and NS 9.
v2.1.0 - After receiving 2 bug reports it was time to make a new version. First bug was that the mod couldn't be installed on boards using vb 3.6.5 or below. This was already fixed in a previous update but without new version number. Second bug was that the buttons showed when you use the "Chiefpost" mod on all but the first page. Thats why , the way the mod determines what the first post is, was changed.
I designed it initally for 3.6.8 but because 3.6.6 works also I thought I put that in as version.
The version now displays the minor version it can be installed on.
You think it's better to just put in the version I made it on or what?
BTW nice how you did yours with the custom button
