I'd like to know how to start out with making styles, mostly, how to make the XML document that you upload, which "activates" the style, like says what image is which, that kind of thing?

If anybody has any documentation, that would be nice. I tried searching but couldn't really find anything.

Create a style with no parent set. Modify that style. Then click "Export" to generate the XML.
