Am i allowed to make a differant directory and upload my files for a differant database for testing purposes? as long as its on the same domain?

If you .htaccess it so it isn't accessible to the public, and it's in a directory called "testvb" or something like that, yes.

Well i have an old database, that i just want to get a few things from.. but i dont want to merge it in to this database..

Eh neverming im just going to convert it to phpbb
