What's going on with Psionic Vision / Visionscripts?

Suddenly his site is closed down with no way to contact him. Which really sucks for people who have purchased scripts from him because they are encoded with IonCube.

Without further support the scripts have a limited lifespan since the first time there is a change to VB that breaks them, that's the end of the hack. Also because every time you re-install the hack you need to get a license number from the support site which is apparently going offline soon.

This really puts me off from buying third party hacks, which I otherwise don't really mind doing for quality scripts with features I want. But what good are they if they can't be fixed when they break?

Yeah, yeah, I know you're taking your chances whenever you buy anything from anyone these days. But Psionic Vision has been a long standing member here so I thought I could depend on him being around for awhile. Now there's no way to contact him and he doesn't respond to PM's here. I understand that things happen to disrupt people's lives but it kind of sucks to just vanish and leave no way for customers to get ahold of him. So much for the "1 year of free support and upgrades".

I'm hoping he will at least provide the PHP source to the customers who bought his hacks. Otherwise, there's about $60 down the toilet.

Does anyone know how to reach him to find out what his intentions are (other than to just shut down and abandon his customers?)

As a customer you will have received his email newsletters which explain the situation and where this is going.

Um, no. What I received was an email from him that basically notified me that he is shutting down, he is no longer offering support, and that the downloads section will remain online "for a little while longer". And that's pretty much all it says.

It offers no explanation for what has happened or what we are to do for support in the future, nor does it provide any means to contact him.

His web site (which basically consists of only a front page and a downloads section for customers now) is offering up his domain and rights to his scripts for sale, directing them here to contact him. Only it doesn't look like he's answering PM's here and his site no longer has a forum or contact info.

It doesn't exactly make THIS customer feel very secure. Especially considering the scripts are IonCubed and can't be updated by anyone, and they require license numbers from a site that will apparently not be around much longer to provide them.

i don't think vBulletin.org is the place to discuss external resources availability.

Psionic announced a long time ago that his site was going down and he even released ALL his scripts for free here on vb.org to let people use them without encoding... this is announced on his site. no more support, no more releases... you can download the latest version of all his hacks here, uncoded... (i suppose you did not read his announcement so far)

the explanations were given a long time ago, and you did not know just because you were not aware of the situation.. that does not mean that Psionic was wrong.

As nexialys also mentions, vB.org is not the place to discuss/dispute how a commercial script that was purchased on another site is supported.
