How Do I Set Special Promotions

Ok I Know How To Set Up Promotions

But I Got Something That I Want To Add/Mod With The Promotions

Basically You Are Able To Set A Promotion So That After X Amount Of Days Registered The Member Is Changed To A New User Group

Well What I Want To Do Is This:

I Want To Be Able To Set It So After X Amount Of Days Of Being In A UserGroup ( Not Registered ) Gets Sent To A diffrent User Group

Is This Possiable ?

There most certainly is.

add a new promotion >

select your user group that is going to be affected,
ignore reputation if you wish, and if so set rep level to 0

days registered set to whatever time you had in mind.

posts set to 0 if you don't intend for them to need posts as well as time.

promotion strategy should be "posts or reputation or date", so it will only look at date in this case.

the last 2 fields are self explanatory.

To test if it works, set up a sample one of 1 day. And make sure your script to update user promotions is active (i forgot where this is but it's on by default i think).

I'm looking for the same functionality, but this solution proposed will only promote based on the join date of the member.

So, let's say that we have it set to 7 days.

Say a member joined 3 days ago and donates and gets put in a donor group by an admin. The auto-promote to the super-special-donor group is supposed to be 7 days from when the user donates, but this will auto promote the user in 4 days from donation.

Additionally, let's say a member joined 3 months ago, decides to donate today. We add him to the donor group and, when the cron runs, it will auto-promote him instantly because his join date > 7 days, no?

Now Is There A Way To Do That?
