Update All Templates Feature
Here is a good idea. I don't know if someone else posted a thread about this but I think it is a very good idea to have for all site owners.
Ok..Let's say that you have multiple styles on your site. IF you don't feel like adding template edits for every style manually, then you should consider this. How about an auto updater for all templates? What you do is set up one style of your choice with all the mods and hacks that you want and have it set up so that it is perfect for you. Now, Since the style is set up to your liking, you can go into your admin CP and click on a button on the left column saying "update all templates", so that they match each other rather than editing each template manually because we all know how long that takes. With this feature you can click an "Update All Templates" button on your adminCP, or on your quick links are of the navbar for admins, and they will all match the very first one that you had set up perfectly. I only see one downside to this. This hack would have to work for all mods and hacks only and not the style. This would eliminate hours trying to update the templates manually. Does anyone like this idea? Your feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. |

This is already possible with standard vBulletin. Create 1 style that you set as Parent for all your other styles, and do your edits in the parent style only.

Tried that. It did not work for all the mods and hacks. It only shows a few of them and the rest do not show.

You will need to make sure that the same template is not edited in any of the Child Styles. Only do your edits in your parent style.
