Hi
I have a number of hacks installed. Will upgrading from 3.6.7 to 3.6.8 wipe them out and mean they have to be reinstalled? Regards Cassio www.communityforexcellence.com/forum - self development forum |

Any modifications to the PHP files will be wiped out. If you used plugins and products for your modifications then they will remain intact.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for your reply. If we modify php files will we then be technically running an unsupported build? Thanks Cassio www.communityforexcellence.com/forum - self development forum |

The vB.com support team does not support modified forums (including those running Products/Plugins). We, however, obviously do.

But if the hacks you install are marked as supported and are appropriate to your version of vbulletin then you support arrangement isnt affected in any way I assume?

The vast majority of hacks won't involve editing the original vBulletin php files directly anyway. Most involve template edits or uploading their own php files.

When a modification is marked as Supported, it simply means that the author will do his/her best to render assistance to any users who have problems with it -- it is not a guarantee, nor does it mean that the modification is in any way supported officially by vB.org or vB.com.
