my forums from PHP to HTML ?
hi everybody ,
i was surfing the net over here and there, and i found out that some forums are using vbulletin with the system of HTML insteal of PHP for example : www.domainname.com/forum/index.html OR forumdisplay.html etc.... i noticed that i can download an HTML version from my license area , but im just woundering, if it's a better system than the php system, coz i have noticed as well that u r using it as PHP ! is it safe to switch it to HTML ? and what makes it better if yes ? |

What you have might have noticed is something like VBSEO (search engine optimisation) which turns php into html looking urls, and visa versa. The VB code base is php. the "html" version for download is for people that have configured their servers to read .html files as php

It will make no difference to server performance or load which you use. You may as well just stick to .php, there is no advantage to using something else, but it could break applications that expect a .php extension.
