Default A lot of Help with school-forum.net

Hello! This is my first time posting here as I am a complete beginner with vBulletin. I have been building a site called school-forum.net and I am in a little bit over my head.

I was just wondering if I could come here and ask a few questions on how to make the site just work.

-I have two themes, default theme and default tritons. Yet I want it to only stay on the tritons theme, how is this possible?

-My forum rules only show up in the default vBulletin theme, yet not in my own(tritons), fix?

-Also, I wish to change the location of my forum to forums.school-forum.net , this is so I can have a home page on www.school-forum.net.

If anyone could help me out, that would be great! I am only 15 but I'm trying as hard as I can!

- go to ACP - vBulletin Options - Style settings - Select Default Skin , Save!
- Are you using any rules hack? , If yeah! then make Templates edit in other template also!
-you need to login to cpanel and make a Sub Domain to run your forum with forums.school-forum.net

hope you got what you Wanted!

I tried the style settings thing, but that still didn't work, it still goes automatically to the default style.

And I already have forums.school-forum.net, but how do I get my entire forum there?

And what are Template edits, sorry I am new to all this.

Template edits are usually when you log into your ACP and click "styles / templates" and edit the style file (e.g. navbar) This is referred to as a template edit.

Log into ACP.
Click Styles / Templates
Style Manager
Click the << >> on the style that you want to edit.
You are then shown all the templates for that style

You are much better off to move your forum to www.school-forum.net/forums then use www.school-forum.net for the homepage.

All you need to do is create a folder called /forums then move all the forum files in there. Depending on the setup you may need to edit the config file with the new location as well.

Just my .02

There are also a couple of location changes in the settings you will need to change in the admin panel.

So I make a new folder called /forum in the public_html folder and just click and drag everything over to there?

Just to add to that, if any hacks or anything are installed, you may have to edit the config.php files of those hacks and change the path to /forum otherwise it will be looking for the homepage for the forums

If you have no hacks, then this wouldn't apply to you.
