how do i get rid of the white space surrounding the forum?

AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> (From menu on the right) StyleVars

Look for "Spacer Size" set it to 0

Go to Style Variables -> Spacer Size (pixels) -> and change to 0

That should do it

the spacer size is already set to 0.

there's still white space though.

Is Main Table Width set to 100% as well. If its still not working try changing Outer Border Width to 0.

Is it the same on both sides? (As I see you are using a mod to create a left column)
