Changing Paid Subscription Shipping

Currently we have a recurring paid subscription that charges to paypal. Originally we required no shipping address, but we now need to require one. Will editing the subscription to require a shipping address cause any problems with the active recurring payments or subscription membership?
I was recommended to disable all the subscriptions needing this change and create all new ones, but this will be quite a hassle on the administrative end.
