Any hacks to restrict view attachments before a user threads count 5 ? or a similer one ?

You can restrict by posts but not threads. At least not with the Promotions system anyway.

You can use the vBulletin's Promotion system but it doesn't compare threads - just posts.

Create another usergroup ..
1 with permissions to view; the other with NO permission to view

you can then promote usergroup A to usergroup B whenever post count >= 5
