adding buddylist inline

Hi all
is there a block of code that i can add the buddylist inline on non forum pages or even inline so it does not pop it in a new window.

i have a left column where ive put the login block, below that i want the budy list showing online and offline, i have it there now, but its not actually showing the buddy's or there status.
