Does anybody have any advice on a hacked site?

I returned from karate earlier today and was confronted with "HACKED BY DEEPDARK" as my new index.php & index.html

I see this 'deepdark' has been around a bit.

I've changed the passwords to my ftp & control panel log in, but other than that - i'm not sure what else to investigate.

Any advice please?

You may want to look at some of your modifications that could have allowed this exploit.

the vb itself does not appear to be compromised, this is - i think - an ftp issue.
