Help with restoring backup (DirectAdmin)

Hey,

I am trying to restore a vBulletin 3.6.7PL1 backup.
DirectAdmin requires a .gz file.

How would I go about making one?
I have 'vbulletin.sql' and that is it..
I just have trouble working out what to upload to restore it.

Any help is appreciated =]
