To have a mod that [if active] only allows certain usergroups to reply to threads where the last post is x months ago?

Its just because alot of new members just bring up old threads, where as if its a active/member thats been there for awhile, they don't bump it back up with spam, they bump it up with something that contributes.

I suppose you could already use a mod that closes thread after x days of inactivity.. Other than that I wouldn't know.

No, it wouldn't be difficult. You would just check the lastpost dateline of the thread and then add that extra conditional to see if the user has permission or not to post.
