My favorite host so far has been dreamhost. Ever since I had them, in the last 4 years of all types of shared hosting, my site has run clean and smooth. I like there panel and direct control over certain areas. They still have that 555 special where you get 5 free domain registrations, 20% off, 5tb bandwidth, and 500gb space and it only cost me 69 bucks. My servers, php, and mysql has been running smoothly. What has been your most positive host experience so far and why?

Although my prices aint the cheapest, we do have a good quality of service...
We do not have many accounts per server either and never will, this keeps the performance
of our servers ata premium
My support is far from perfect as i run it myself and not from an outside source, also i cannot be there all the time, (work commitments) but i do have one other volunteer who is online most of the time.... Its actually quite rare that we have clients getting in touch with support, things must just be running ok, But when we do have a ticket its responded to virtually as soon as it comes through

Biggest secret to hosting CPU hungry apps, keep prices up to help recover server costs, keep CPU load low, clients happy, servers running well, no brainer imo
I actually wish that some host would install some cpu load indicator. Mine will send a warning if your start getting near 10%, but I would never know when to tweak my codes.
I have got my VPS with JaguarPC ( www.jaguarpc.com ) for my several small projects. Thus far, by leaps and bounds, my greatest host, and the only other host ( midphase.com ) I have had in my short time of webmastering I have absolutely no complaints with them. Only reason I switched is because I needed more resources and I read about Jag at webhostingtalk.com. Good review, and the owner/CEO/whatever was an active member there as well, and posted a nice deal in the offers section.
I took the deal. The only gripe I have about them is when it first took a couple months to even get on the server due to some difficulties they were having getting transfered to a new datacenter.
I have a couple very short downtimes, and when I filed a ticket for them it was always answered within a half hour. So, very fast, and very courteous. They have never looked down at my stupid questions, and I have asked them some pretty darned stupid questions.
Price is great, I pay $35 a month for a fast, reliable, and professional host. Lots of hosts out there and I am glad I found JaguarPC.
35 bucks for a vps? Hmm, I have to check that out. There are so many hosting sites out there, it's just overwhelming who to trust.
---After Reviewing---
Hmm, the bandwidth seems quite low though and the unmetered wording? But for a small forum like mine, it would work. I just wonder if I would have problems if I would grow. Man, someone else had a cheap vps, but forgot the site link, but your right... quality and service is better than anything.

Do you have a good link? I typed nexialys in google and it gave me a nexialys.net site which didn't really look like a host.
