I'm not sure if I am allowed to post this type of question in here so feel free to remove it if its against the rules.
I have been searching for about 2 hours looking for an alternative to the user reputation feature. I have come across the 'Thanks Hack' but my forum users don't seem to like it very much. Ideally I want a button on the top of each post which says 'This post was useful' and then it builds up the reputation of users. I don't want a negative reputation option as people have been using that simply because they don't like the topic which is being spoken about. I really like the way the Apple Support Forums do it - its very clean and to the point. Any help with this would be much appreciated - cheers! Will |

This might be something you have already considered but perhaps you could just disable the ability to give out negative reputation but leave your members with the positive reputation feature enabled. That's what I did anyway. Sorry if I misunderstood.
