What It Does:
Allows enabling/disabling of Debug Mode in the AdminCP.
Allows Debug Mode activation using Usergroup Permissions.
Query Explain works!
What makes it different from other similar mods that turn on Debug Mode in the ACP?
This one does require you to edit config.php (ONCE), but let me repeat the above... Query Explain works, and like the debug info, it uses the Usergroup Permissions. As of the new version, no queries are added.
Known Issues:
none at this time

It's been almost a year, so here's another update. Fixed some issues where query explain didn't always work. Also got rid of the huge init.php file edit and the 3 queries that it added, since I figured out how to handle query explain via plugins (and adding 2 lines of code to config.php). All-in-all, this update makes the mod run more efficiently, more vBulletin upgrade friendly, and more secure.
I find it unfortunate that new Debug Mode via ACP mods keep coming out that are basically the same, and none of them support Explain. If you are going to release a Debug Mode mod, please check this one out first, since this uses Usergroup Permissions and Explain is actually working.
I installed this and it works great but I do have a problem. I run VBPortal on my site. When I turn it off under VBulletin Options, it goes away on my forum page but still shows up on my Portal. Any ideas on how to correct that? Also, it shows up for EVERYBODY on the forum page, not just for me.
Well I retested other usergroups after reading your post, but cannot duplicate your second issue. The only thing I can think of is to recheck your Usergroup permissions.
As for the vbPortal issue, unfortunately vbPortal is no longer available here, and there is no lite version available on the official site. I cannot be expected to fork out the money for a vbPortal license, so I'm afraid I can't support any compatibility issues.
Otherwise, I don't know if any opcode caches would cause either issue since I have never used one. I may soon, but until then I can't offer support for this either.
OK...I understand but I do need to clear up the confusion that I caused. I should have said that it shows up on the PORTAL page for everybody. It seems to work 100% correctly on the forum page. Great job but unfortunately I had to remove it due to the Portal issue. Thanks anyway.
