Two Questions concerning Posts in VB

Attached is a screen shot of the area I'm talking about:

1. What is the correct VB name for this area? I can't seem to find the right term.

2. Is there anyway to show additional fields in that area aside from just the "Posts" and "Join Date"? I would like to add some other custom fields in there.

Thank you very much in advance.
