I need a computer. Help!

Well my computer decided to quit working on me the other day. I was giving a demonstration on how to put a computer together for a high school class. I put it back together and now, it doesn't work. This is just great.

Now, believe it or not, I have been developing websites and web applications using an old Gateway Performance 450. Have a laugh and look that up on google. It seems like I've been using this machine since the beginning of time.

So, here is where I need help. I am looking for a new or used computer. I have browsed over ebay. Nothing spectacular, at all. Specifically, all I need, is a motherboard, power supply, and a nice processor. I have everything else. It would be great to get all of this for under $200.00 usd.

If any one has suggestions on where I can find parts please post links. I would like hardware suggestions to.

Err I smashed my old P3 Dell Motherboard for the fun of it, I guess I could have donated it to you

The thing is, I don't need power. I'm a programmer and a graphics designer. If I want to play video games, I'll go play the sega. lol

On a serious note, I'm not a gamer, so power isn't necessary. Something between 1.0 ghz and 2.0 ghz would be nice. It could be Amd or Intel, used or new, doesn't matter.

The sega part was a joke. Although I did sell my chipped ps2 and now I'm left with a Sega.
The point is, I don't play video games.

Keep in mind, I only need a computer for programming and graphic design. I don't need a performance pc. :up:

Haha, I still use that case. The monitor exploded internally several years ago.

Ah yes. The wonderful CRT gateway screens. They are something else aren't they. That monitor finnaly started to get darker and darker. Now im using a compaq crt monitor.
