I was curious what the general consensus is on having a code credit page linked in the footer instead of having a footer littered with links and copyrights for sites that have tons of mods running (I have 30). I already have about 18 lines of disclaimers down there and I really don't want to add to that. I prefer to keep it as clean as possible. On the other hand, I feel very strongly about ensuring that coders are credited for their work. It's something of a catch 22 for me.
Opinions? My vB is branding free so I am talking more about mod credits here than anything. |

you can always create a single page that would load the file /includes/vbulletin_credits.php

Would this also display credit for all hacks installed? See that's my biggest issue. I want a neat site but, on the other hand, I feel guilty not displaying code credits, or at least making them available to be viewed. I suppose I could always use the logician's web templates hack to create a html page showing them too. |

hum, yeah, if you read on the top of all pages, this site requires membership... sorry... and as you have specific requests, i may provide the answer for memberships... not that i'm in need of cash, but that's the rule to provide commercial support..
![]() EDIT: your request to see displayed the credits of the hacks installed can be done partially, by displaying the list of hacks the same way as in the Products Manager... but it does not display the credits, because most of the coders do not add their names to their descriptions... and the system does not allow to make so in a specific way... you can add them to the description though... |

Well if I have to find all the credits manually anyhow I am just as easy creating a code credits page using logician's web templates then linking to that page. Thanks.
