Default "News Bot" type mod needed

Can someone tell me where to get a mod that automatically posts threads in a specific forum for each news item. I assume it's driven off of RSS feeds or something.

The thread title is the title of the article, and inside is a link to the full article and a short excerpt.

I saw this at the site below and really want it:

Go to the vB ACP -> RSS Feeds -> Add New RSS Feed. There you can set a feed such that it posts to a forum. More information on how to set up a feed can be found at http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/rssposter

Its worth mentioning that this is a new core feature that was introduced with vBulletin 3.6:

Besides that, it's also possible to affect the same (and with more features/customizability) with an add-on called ArticleBot.

There's another one, called Inferno RSS but it's not nearly as configurable.

awesome - thanks for the feedback! I'll start with the core vb version first and see if that meets my needs! Nifty!

Very cool. I have never played with RSS feeds before. All the ones I setup only have 1 or 2 lines of text with a link for "more information".

Is this how they all are? Kindof a tease but I guess why people create them....

Not all are like that. Some feeds and weblogs syndicate the full article.

There are hundreds of thousands of feeds out there. Name a category, I guess?

Here's a blog site that I like: http://www.fresharrival.com/
RSS feed here: http://www.fresharrival.com/blog/feed/atom/

The issue is that I am tring to get full articles out of the rss instead of a partial based on keyword.

Example, If I want to import from rss articles with keyword "adsense" from google or yahoo feeds I get 3 or 4 lines and a click here button for the rest.

I am trying to find a way even if its a paid service to import the full article.

thanks in advance for any answers.

Yeah, but that's an issue with how Google and/or Yahoo have chosen to syndicate out their RSS services. Sorry, I'm not aware of any alternatives to achieve what you are looking for.
