hey guys. just started my new forums, and i have a problem with the avatar and user information being displayed above the text area in posts, rather then on the left, which i prefer. how do i fix this?

as in, i dotn want it in the top like in THIS forum, but on the side like in My OLD forums

you want to change your vboption to "legacy" display. you can find that in the admin panel, i believe in the vbulletin options.
