Inserting into post table from non-vb page

Hey guys.. I am in the process of adding a custom comment system to my site but I run into one issue.

there are some other tables that seem to cache some of the post data (posthash, postindex, postparsed). will I run into any issues by not inserting data to these tables?

Thanks
