Can anyone please point me to a 3.6.5 compatible hack for date range searches without requiring keyword or username?

Requiring either a keyword or a username forces a reduction from a list of all posts within a given date range, the full list often being quite a useful if not necessary option in a world class knowledge base.

Oh, and dare I ask: boolean searches? Any mods like that available?
