This feature is very cool! When composing a new private message to a member, all you need to type in are the first couple letters of the member's name, and this drop-down helper shows a list of similar names to choose from! I've seen this in other boards as well! Is this a hack? Anyone know what it's called? I love this!!

It's a default feature of vBulletin, providing you're using a recent version.

OMG are you serious? Yeah, I'm using3.6.4, but for some reason it's not working...

Check that you have not disabled AJAX features:
AdminCP -> General Settings -> Disable AJAX Features |

Ok, I just checked...it's set to Enable All AJAX Features...

To troubleshoot this, please create a new Style with no Parent set. Now browse the forum using this new style.

How bizarre!
Nearly 8 months later and now it's working! I was having the same issue with reputation all this time, and now it's all of a sudden working, too! :up:I'm one happy camper! Must've been a java-script issue? |
