Hack to add options to New Posts?
I have just spent the last two hours using every search term I can think of and coming up empty. I know there is a hack to add more options to the New Posts feature. (See the attached.) But where is the hack? Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

I've never seen it before, but I'd assume that it's just links to a search for all posts in the whole forum in the last x time.

Interesting, I was just trying to figure out WHAT calculates the New Posts when the button is pushed on the NavBar after reading http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f18/...your-1486.html So far, no luck though. I'd hoped somewhere it simply declared 24hrs or such and could be revised to like 30 days, etc.

New posts gets all the posts marked as new. How posts are marked as new depends on your options settings. With the minimum setting, new is based on your last visit time, and a cookie that tracks posts viewed this session, so new posts gets all posts since your last activity of your last visit that you have not viewed this visit. At the maximum setting, a record of your post viewing is stored in the database for months, and new posts gets all posts since the cuttoff date that you have not viewed in any session. In this case, there is a separator that shows which posts are new since your last visit.

Thanxx for the explanation and even more so for stating just where that option is in AdminCP. I always have a time turning it up. I re-read the help screen about such after reading your post, and have a better semi-understanding of it now.
