A few of the members of my new site (http://www.svtt.net; vb 3.6.4) have asked for a central area to share files (maps, bike route cue sheets, swim videos, etc.) with other users. is there a mod that would support this, or are message attachments my only choice?

I thought DownloadIII or DownloadII did this. The exact thing, Download & Upload

yeah ... i was think about to post this topic ... but you already did....

i went through DownloadII ....check em out.. but the author said... he will released new version within 3 weeks from now .... well hope it there soon for us ...

I hate how it doesn't let you upload audio or movies without compression first. Some members like to upload their homemade music videos and music tracks which I want to allow uploads for.

yes but you have to edit your php.ini to allow for large files
