I am getting error 1030. My forum is down now and I can't find a way around it. I went into phpMyAdmin and get an error message in there too.

MySQL error code 127: Record-file is crashed
To fix this run Repair/Optimize in the Admin CP. You may need to run it more than once to fix all errors: Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Repair/Optimize Tables -> Check All -> Continue If you can not access your AdminCP, then you can upload the tools.php file from the vbulletin .zip file do_not_upload/ folder into your forumdir/admincp/ directory and run it through the browser, there's a switch there to run optimize and repair. Run it a few times for best result. If you cannot access either the Admin CP or tools.php you can also use a tool like phpMyAdmin to repair tables. |

I tried up loading the tools.php and get the same error:
Warning: mysql_query(): Unable to save result set in /home/delvallo/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 363 SO I tried going into phpMyAdmin and I get this error: #1016 - Can't open file: 'adminlog.MYI'. (errno: 145) Is there any other way to repair this? I called my host and they said it wasn't a database problem. That was before I got the #1016 error code though. ***** EDIT*** I can now get into phpMyAdmin. How do I know which tables to repair? Should I just check all of them and repair? Also, my session has 24,948 Bytes of overhead. Is this normal? What can I do to change it? Thanks again for all the help! |

You should repair (one or more times) each table that is reported as crashed.
Overhead on the session table is not an issue. The session table only resides in memory and gets rebuild each time MySQL is started. |

I was able to get into the tools.php. I repaired the tables twice. Then I tried getting into the admincp. I removed the tools.php and was able to log into the admincp. I went to Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Repair/Optimize Tables -> Check All -> Continue and ran that 3 times. I tried to access my forum and I get a blank page. Did I mess something up?
www.delvallo.net At least I am not getting any more error messages ***edit*** I can get everything but the index.php. If I go directly to a thread, I can see it just fine, but when I try to view the forum index, I get a blank page. |

To troubleshoot this, please remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. If your problem still exists, please create a new Style with no Parent set. Now browse the forum using this new style. If you still have problems after that, open a support ticket at vbulletin.com |

You're the man! The change to config.php allowed the forum index to show up.
This all started from a failed install of vB Spell. If I didn't add any plugins, can I just leave that code in the config.php? Is there another (more proper) way to correct the problem? Thanks again for all of your help! |

the code you added to the config.php disabled your plugin system. So any current or future plugins will not work.
Now that you know it is caused by a plugin, you should uninstall the product causing it. After that you could remove that line again from the config. |

The problem is there are no plugins or products installed. How would I uninstall them if they don't show up? The install failed at 99%, so I guess it is partially installed???

You would need to contact the author or post in the thread of the modification to get this sorted i guess.
