AZClubCulture.com - Please Review!
I just popped the cork on it today with little marketing.
The site is for the Arizona Bar & Club scene with many features. I know there are issues with the flash header, I'm working on that now. Also adding some content. Thanks http://www.azclubculture.com |

The logo is very nice image and color wise, but it is hard to make out the lettering in the background. It took me a few minutes to realize it was interactive. The interface is very well done. You also have many of the links duplicated in the site navigation block, this is good in the event that a person does not have flash...or for search engines. I could not find a link to the forum home in that area though, it would be nice to have that available as well.
Your welcome message on the portal is well done. It looks like it is a new post though, so as you get more news it will fall off the page. Put this same info into a static block or use one of the welcome message mods to make sure your guests see it all the time. The width of the banner flash prevents the site from scaling down. Not sure if this could be resolved without major edits to the flash though. The forum icons and buttons are nice and simple but stick with a general theme. Personally I really like the colors, give the whole site a warm feel as you are reading. You have a good amount of forum, almost too many for starting. I would say keep what you have but do not expand for quite a while, and make sure to keep an eye on activity and adapt as the forum grows. You have a great start so far. Keep up the good work. |

The header is insanely nice.Awesome job on it. Afterwards you have almost the stock VB. Try to add some rounded corners to the forum tables, modify some more the looks. Try to integrate more of that superb header. Anyaway... you are on the right track with it. Congratulations so far and keep up the good work

Awesome header... creative use of space and interaction.
The header is so awesome that the rest of the style feels a little flat and dull in comparison. |

Wow - thanks for the compliments on the header!
I want to add round corners to the tables, put a BG on the page, and so forth. Just not sure how to add rounded corners. I know the rest of the site is a little bland right now. I have been sitting on the VB license with vbseo, photopost, etc for a long time and just wanted to get it going. Please keep the reviews coming. :-) |

Just curious - what did you use to make the header? Is it a flash thing? Did you use Flash MX or something?
Just some constructive criticism - When you click on something like Photo Gallery or the Classifieds, I'm not crazy about an "intro" page coming up first. Maybe you can just reduce the size of the text, and add that block to the top of the PhotoPost gallery. At the very least, when you click on "Click here to enter the Photo Gallery", it shouldn't open a new window, it should use a "target=_top" to stay in the same window. Just my $.03 (inflation). Nice job! |

yeah, it's a flash 8 published for flash 6.
I'm working on changing the open new window deal. It's a quirk with vbadvanced and I've been told there is a way to do it, just haven't done it yet. The 'intro' pages will eventually go away. I just want to make sure users know that they can can (and how) to upload pics. Thanks for .03, worth every penny |
