Seeking Support Setting Up The Forum

Hello, I have been refered here from Vbulletin team moderator Kerry-Anne, vBulletin Team, (formerly peterska2), after I had posted in there forum about this new site we are making! She suggested it might be more appropriate posted here in Vbulletin.org!

I will copy the same posrt I made in here and is as follows...

To support ForPropertyInvestors and implement a system to handle it's members, advertisement payment system for each user in there control panel so a user wishing to advertise in the forum with their signature they will have to have paid an amount to there account for 3-6-9-12 months. Will be the hardest part!

At the moment we are in the process of merging Jaffasoft.com's main current content to a new home called ForPropertyInvestors and jaffasoft.com is going to drop back to be a Design Studio which is what it started from...in the first place. My personal Interest got involved in designing an Investors resources site. It now needs to expand to cater for other areas plus my advertising on business cards; everything else is going to be easier with the new simple name of ForPropertyInvestors.com 'it says it all'.


They then receive an in house designer at ForPropertyInvestors.com customize a standard sized .jpg that those who have paid up there account will be able to display an ad for their business. Other advertising is policed but generally the clientele passing through this forum are of decent seriously interested people in real estate and investing.

All just needs to be an automated simple system, I suppose that’s what everyone wants but I just need it so that once I receive a bit of support I will be right to maintain anything or seek further help later. I am new to forum administration but not to web design but primarily I only do web design with macromedia adobe all the site at ForPropertyInvstors.com

The forum itself to kick it off will embed Real Estate & Investor related 'YouTube' content and we would like it also serve as a forum for filing away articles. Primarily not a use for a forum but will open it up anyway for a few discussion titles for if people want to use it. But mainly just needing a system to organize members and surfers flowing through to have access the main site already established with investor tools allowing access to the growing 'YouTube' Group called 'ForPropertyInvestors' that have video content streaming in from a 'YouTube API. And for a monthly newsletter communications with members etc.

I would also like to know if this is provided by VBulletin.org on my Purchase?

first, you will never receive any support or hack or product related to vBulletin if you are not a license owner, so yes, replies to your requests will come along...

for the details, you need external products integrated in one side or the other to merge with vbulletin... other "details" are to be coded when needed, but most can be done when you learn the software...

Are you suggesting I am not purchasing the license when I am, it's a great software and it also deserves to be paid because of it being a well ran organization. I have spent the best part of my working Internet life (6 years) using VBulliten forums as users of a web designers forum and a number of others places. I am just seeking a little help and suggestions to get set up. Now that you have said that, are you saying I will receive the support necessary to inst all this when I purchase the license?

Just currently trying to establish a plan and basically get a few things organized as how to go about it and more importantly finding someone that will be competent and that will be happy to work with, in other words I hope we get along and thinking on the one page!

Then just get the mission done to go in and install and get things in place.
I like to do things as simple as possible, so simple and effective is best, with as much pain for everyone getting it in place the better.

Couple of questions I guess I'm seeking clarity on. It seems the only main three differences with the forum is that of integration a payment system this what scares me is a bit tricky and I'm not sure how to do, or which is the best easiest one and for Australian payment, may look around for something that is as cheap yet as effective as possible. If you have any suggestion let us know as this is the reason I'm posting in here i.e. I want to hear from you in here what you experiences are and what would suggest use.

There was no doubt about my choice of forum and that was VBulliten that's been in the pipeline for a long time.

Number two is the embedding of individual YouTube videos and a customized favorites gallery.

Three being what is best mix or integrate the existing site because I have made every peace of the Flash based site (jaffasoft.com) so that each section can embed in a html page each being 1000 pixels wide and 2800 pixels long, so they may be able to each put into a VBulliten customized template them I can make all them and maintain my flash side of it myself once shown how and set on my way. But making sure people cannot access the sites content until they are registered and logged in is getting to be the most important.

Could you provide a bit of step by step form of a laid out plan that I could refer to in this thread to go about doing this and those that can offer some support and hands on help and get involved please come forward and let’s go for it.

So can the Vbulletin even embed a Youtube in the thread so people can play and chat about it!!

if you search for "youtube" in the search engine here, you will have a lot of results... there is plenty of available hacks for it...

Most licensed vBulletin users post in the other forums. Usually non-licensed members post in this forum as it's meant for Pre-Sales.

I didn't find a lot of support in this forum which seems very wierd.

I have sourced outside independent developers, employed them and purchased the licence and on my way to establishing my investors site.

The 40 team developers are also going to handle the Real Estate property sales web site spanning across China and Australia which I might add is a multi-million dollar industry we will run and float on the Australian Share Market. Why because they tried.
