Default Anti-Theft mod
i saw a very cool anti theft mod installed on another forum....
i stops people from quoting the 1st post of the thread, thus sort of preventing leeching.....
i was trying to search for it, but wasnt able to find it...
can someone please tell me from where can i get this anti theft mod...

lol...
ok the website hosts galleries of softcore porn...lol...
and the address is - www.passesforthemasses.com
but you wont be able to register because its only by invitation.....
but they save their galleries by putting up the mod, so that no one can leech them...
i'll am providing you a screen shot (without any porn images ofcourse )...
ohh, btw.
the locking system is only in the forum where they host the galleries...not other forums...

Nice flowers.

wouldn't this be a simple template mod whare the quote button is? like 'if thread number = 1 then display anti-theft image....? Don't know the exact code...

lol ok.. they can't get the BB Code? Still what prevent them from right-clicking and save images that way or even "view source" to obtain them?

you can just copy & paste using your mouse and cursor to highlight whatever it is you want and bypass their "anti-theft" feature. all they're doing is disabling the quoting of the first post of any thread. many ways to get around this.

i kinda already got past the "not being allowed to quote thing"..
the easiest method is -

i just opened a link quoting another message....
then i copied the post number of the protected link..
and pasted the number in the link thru which i was allowed to quote messages...
the method is easy....but it took me some time to figure it out...lol

anyways...
can someone please tell me how can i do this on my board too...
meaning put a lock on the quoting thing...

i know many people wont be able to leech using this...
cause you are all pro's, you can...
but new members and people not familiar to vb cant figure this out ...

i dont get it, how does not being able to quote make it anti-theft? whats stopping you from right clicking on the images or viewing the source to get the urls?
