Crashes Every Morning!! :(

Hi everyone,

First off, I'm no expert in server optimization,
so I have no idea where to start with this...

But anyway, my server crashes almost every day.
I run a good-sized vb forum with 8000 members,
40k posts, etc, with usually close to 100 people online
in the mornings.

I'm on a Celeron 2.4 dedicated server at Steadfast.net,
and it crashes every morning after sending me a bunch of
vbulletin database errors, saying that it can't connect
to the mysql database.

How can I start trying to fix this situation and
stop future crashes? It's really hurting my membership sales,
adsense and affiliate revenue.

If it always happens at the same time, then it must be some task running on the server. My first guess would be a backup that is being made, please consult your host about this.
