Hide individual user avatars?
I have a lot of folks who post from work on my boards, and while I have a no NSFW Avatars policy, some people find that to lenient, and I'd rather not ban every avatar that someone may find inappropriate for their particular job.
What I'm looking for is the ability for users to mark an avatar as hidden. Like a little hide button under the avatar that would remember that a user hid that persons avatar until they clicked show which would appear after it was hidden. Nothing like that? |

Hmmm...
I'm thinking to do that you would have to have a userfield that listed all the userids that the person wanted to hide. Then when displaying posts it would check and see if the poster's userid was in the viewer's array of avatars to hide. Clicking hide under a user's avatar would add that userid to the array and refresh the page. Clicking show under a user's avatar would remove that userid from the array and refresh the page. I need to do alot more reading on fiddling with arrays before I try this one out, but hey, maybe my thoughts will inspire someone to write it in the meantime |
