What would your site be?
If you were to pick something else then vBulletin
Just .php? Invision? phpbb? or something custom...

If vBulletin wasn't around then who's to say Invision or phpBB would exist? I always wanted to try FusionBB but I can't find an admin demo nor an illegal copy.

I like MyBB, I actually set it up the other week just to see how it was. Not nearly as nice as vB, but for free, I wouldn't complain, just put up the extra money for vB

Probably IPB. I like the idea of paying for updates and support because that way you know you'll get them for sure
