I am kinda new to the affiliates scene and I wondered where to start, Can someone point me in the right direction!!!!

My site is about PES6 on the Xbox 360 so anything related to that or maybe something thats very popular

My best guess would be to look for a web ring, look at the official xbox forums, see who they have there. Maybe you could contact a few board owners and ask to exchange links and what not. I'd be willing to exchange affilliate links with you. We both have rather small boards- perhaps we can help each other out.

What you can do is go around to sites similar to yours, and contact the admin and inform them of your link exchange program. Link them to your forum and ask them kindly if they want to exchange links. If they have a link exchange, you can also access the links in their link exchange page and do the same.

I would stay away from linking to other competing forums, as it may draw current members away from your board if they like the competing site better. Go for blogs, news sites, and the likes.
