AdminCP --> Forums & Moderators --> Forum Manager --> Edit the forum you want to show on separate page --> Posting Options --> Forum is Active (set to "No") --> Place a link somewhere to this forum.
If you want it to look like vb.org, set a category like the above and link to the category instead of an individual forum. This will show the category and the forums placed in it on the separate page. On your site: Set the Category "Domain Names For Sale" like the above directions and then place a link like: http://www.trickfly.com/forumdisplay.php?&f=1 somewhere on your site or header. |

Yes, they can still see it and post in it if they have permissions as long as you provide them with the link. The forum will just not show up under Forumhome.

You have to set the category to the not active setting. Then link to the 'category'......

If I do that it means I can't get the numbers next to the link:
Last Listing Listings Comments Is there a way to create a forum and have them show all one page (apart from the homepage) This site manages to do it, so there must be a way. Any info would be great! |

Set the category as not active, and the sub forums under the category as active... I think that should work.

This is what the category is set as: (the catergory is called 'forum'' - http://www.trickfly.com/forumdisplay.php?f=26)
Act as Forum (Will act as category if no) - No Forum is Active (Will not appear if set to no, but remains accessible if the forum's URL is known) No Forum is Open (Set this to 'No' to prevent any new posts being made in this forum) No Index New Posts in Search Engine (Setting this to 'No' will prevent anyone from being able to search in this forum) Yes |
