I just obtained this domain and plan on using it as just a general forum to discuss all topics in life. I was looking for a friendly domain to encourage a peaceful forum. Do you guys think this is a good fit?

I noticed it would be a good domain for a music forum too but I wont use it for that.

Also I have .com and .org. I think it would be a good fit for both. Should I pursue .com or .org with this site?

Hm... well in either case be sure to have the two domains analogous to one another. With that aside, just choose the one that you like best.

.com is traditionally for companies, and .org is typically for organizations. (Obviously, very few sites abide strictly by these definitions.)
